Vogue World 2025: Hollywood brought a dazzling cross-section of celebrities to Paramount Studios on Sunday night, from Gwyneth Paltrow and Kendall Jenner to some of the film industry’s most celebrated costume designers. But one guest in particular upped the political-chic quotient of the night significantly: Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, who attended the event with his wife, documentary filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and the couple’s eldest daughter, Montana, by his side.

Newsom was on hand to welcome Vogue World to Los Angeles when the event was first announced in March, saying in a statement: “Fashion and film go hand in hand, helping to express characters, capture eras in time, and reflect cultural movements. We’re honored to welcome Vogue World Hollywood to the Golden State to help us spotlight California’s creative economy and the thousands of talented workers and businesses who support it.”
Sunday’s extravaganza capped off a big weekend for Newsom, as the 58-year-old Democratic governor confirmed to CBS News Sunday Morning that he’s considering a 2028 presidential run.
“Yeah, I’d be lying otherwise,” he said in response to a question about whether he had a bid for the White House on his mind, adding: “I’d just be lying. And I’m not–I can’t do that.”
