Ok, we’ll admit it…the fast food chicken wars might be getting out of hand. It started years ago with a simple Chick-fil-A versus Popeyes showdown over the chicken sandwich. Now, it’s escalated into chicken tenders and, of course, chicken wraps.
Don’t get us wrong, we love the drama over which chain has the best “Snack Wrap,” after it took McDonald’s nearly a decade to bring the menu item back. However, with so many crispy chicken wraps to choose from, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of our favorites.
Now, another fast food chain is throwing its chicken-filled hat into the ring—and it’s probably the most unexpected one yet.
Long John Silver’s is releasing two new Crispy Chicken Wraps.
Long John Silver’s Launches New Crispy Chicken Wraps

Long John Silver’s has long been known for its crispy fish sandwiches and breaded shrimp platters, but the chain also offers options beyond seafood. The fast food restaurant has served its hand-battered chicken strips, called Chicken Planks, for years. However, it wasn’t until this fall that Long John Silver’s began leaning into the chicken space.
First, the chain swapped out the fish for a chicken in its logo and added its chicken strips to the popular $6 meal basket. Now, following a successful menu test in Louisville, Kentucky, Long John Silver’s is adding its version of the Snack Wrap to menus—but with classic Long John Silver’s flair.
The new Crispy Chicken Wraps are made with a Chicken Plank, fresh coleslaw, Crumblies (AKA the excess pieces of fried batter), and your choice of Baja or Sweet Chili sauce in a warm tortilla.
For a limited time, Long John Silver’s is adding the new Crispy Chicken Wraps to menus, available a la carte for $2.99 each or as part of a 2 for $5 deal. And the chain isn’t stopping there, with promises to add a new Nashville Hot chicken and seafood offering soon.
If you want to make your Crispy Chicken Wrap lunch more of a meal, Long John Silver’s also recently introduced a new side: Mac and Cheese with Crumblies. For a limited time, you can order a side of creamy white mac and cheese topped with Crumblies.
And, for your sweet tooth, Long John Silver’s is bringing back its fan-favorite Red Velvet Cheesecake, straight from The Cheesecake Factory Bakery, just in time for the holidays. The rich red velvet cake is topped with a layer of cheesecake, cream cheese icing, and whipped cream.
We might not have known we’d be adding a Long John Silver’s drive-thru stop to our agenda this week, but we’re clearing space for it now.
